Whenever a position becomes available, the City of Willits will post the announcement on our website along with a job description of the position. Please carefully review the job description and qualifications of the position to determine if you meet the requirements.
Human Resources reviews the application materials you submit to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications required for the position. It is critical that your application clearly demonstrates that you meet the minimum qualifications for you to be considered. Failure to include all information requested could result in the disqualification of your application from the recruitment process.
The selection process and timelines vary depending upon the position. Selection processes can include one of more of the following: minimum qualifications screening, writing sample, written examination, performance test, oral examination, and/or practical assessment. It may take up to 2 weeks in between each step of the selection process. If you are selected to continue in the recruitment process, Human Resources will contact you directly for a possible second interview. If you are not contacted, your application will remain on file for 1 year.
Recruitments are very competitive and at times we cannot invite all qualified candidates to continue in the selection process. If you are not selected to continue in the recruitment process, you will be notified via mail.

Go onto the CarFax CrashDocs Website and have the Accident Report Number you were given at the time of the accident. Follow the instructions on the Website to get a copy of the report. The fee for the report is $10. If you are unable to locate the report, it means it has not been completed yet and you should check back later.
Depending upon the nature of the case, reports will be released at the discretion of the Records Personnel. You must be an involved party and named in the report. You will need your photo ID and case number. You may call 707-459-6122 or come to our department 24 hours a day.
Vehicles will only be released to the registered owner. The fee for a vehicle release is $65 which must be paid by check or cash (exact change), no credit cards or debit cards will be accepted. You will then have to pay the tow company for the tow.
A self-addressed envelope is provided with the citation. Enclose a money order or check payable to the City of Willits. Please remember to include postage. For questions regarding the ticket (e.g. lost citation, payment status), call 707-462-6122. Walk-in payments are accepted at the police department (125 East Commercial Street) 24 hours a dayYou may also complete and submit a form requesting a review of a parking citation.
The Willits Police Department provides Live Scan fingerprinting services. You must provide the "Request for Live Scan" form provided by the requesting company/agency. Fees vary and are determined by the company / agency who is requesting this service, cash or check only.To schedule an appointment, call 707-459-6122 Monday through Thursday 6 a.m. until 4 p.m.
